Lost Ark: A Few Break Throughs

I had a fairly moderate session today starting around the afternoon, working on dailies then ending around 9pm to watch AEW Dynamite. Since my laptop has been sounding strange, I decided to shut it down and give it the night off as we’re going to have a mid-sized maintenance outage from 12am. Rather than doing more leveling or working on quests, I figured I should just take the remainder of the night off because I managed to get other things done in the meantime.

The big thing that I finished up was the Azure Wind Island reputation. I got my Giant’s Heart and Whistle emote, which in turn allowed me to finish up several rapport quests back on Punika and further unlocked a roster wide quest to allow me access to the first Omnium Star. With that done, I just need to finish up the Pond of Purification Una Daily so that I can claim another one for the Greater Skill Potion.

I think in completing the Azure Wind Island daily, I will swap my Artillerist to start doing the Atropos Island daily. Fortunately, I already had set up my BiFrost so it’ll be a seamless transition. It’s pretty easy and won’t take long but it’ll give me another precious Merchant for my stronghold.

Next up was my Sorceress. She’s currently sitting at ilvl 1070, which is a painful spot to be in because it’s practically half way to the final Feiton Chaos Dungeon. The cost of materials also is pretty high and while the failure rate isn’t as abhorrent as Tier 3 honing, the occasional failure does dampen ones spirits. Luckily, tomorrow is reset day so I should have some extra honing materials just from the guild vendor.

My Gunlancer made no progress except in honing. I pretty much comped out of doing the infamous Feiton stealth quest. My rational was to boost him a little, procrastinate since the end fight is a hassle and go in once I got a little more ilvl. It isn’t impossible to do but I just haven’t been motivated. Not to mention, I can still do all the Feiton dailies, even the Shady Cliff one now that I have the majority of the zone unlocked. So I might do all Feiton dailies on him tomorrow and get my BiFrost setup.

I did more of the Rohendel dailies on my Shadowhunter. Not too much progress there. I am working on the next chain of dailies for one of the zones but I might end up moving her to Yorn since she’s just stagnate in terms of her ilvl.

My Gunslinger probably made the most progress. I got her to ilvl 500. While she’s qualified for Rohendel, I really want to get her to ilvl 600 so I can buy the tier 2 gear and then move her. Her only limit are Leapstones and to a lesser degree the Guardian Crystal Fragments.

Also, moving on up was my Glavier. I got her into the third level of the Chaos Dungeons. It’s still fairly easy but the rotation can be off for me. Like the Gunslinger, you need to swap between your blue/red abilities. However, her blue abilities are pretty simple to use and have a reasonable uptime with good damage. So switching has been more of a conscious thing rather than a natural habit. I have her spec’d for Pinnacle currently but I might just make her into Control for simplicity’s sake.

Then there’s my Scrapper. I must have done a bunch of dailies really late because two of my characters had completed at least one. But I still was able to do three altogether so that was a very strange situation. I did manage to get the final level of the wolf daily and acquired the mount. So I’m going to swap over to the irritating killing memories of the past daily. There is a trick to that one that I learned where you kill a champion mob that has a reasonable respawn timer and that gives you a ton of credit. So I’m going to work on that with her next. I might put her in rotation starting tomorrow again for Chaos Dungeons just to push her ilvl up a little more. I should see a lot of guild crystals come in from the weekly so I’ll use the excess to buy tier 1 materials for my alts on my higher ilvl characters.

I still need to decide what to do with my Paladin and even my Deadeye. My Deadeye more or is less save for whatever guild contribution he can make as well as purchasing other alts honing materials. There’s still a few odds and ends islands I haven’t even visited so I might start doing those to unlock them and hopefully get rep, dailies and currency.

Another little thing I managed to do was get two more epic gathering tools. I went and farmed in the Dark Garden in Punika which has a few really nice relic spots to get the rare artifacts. In turn, I crafted a new logging and relic digging tool that I need to collect the next time I hop on. But that just leaves a fishing pole and hunting tool for my last two epic gathering tools I need to craft. After that, I need to figure out how to get the next level of tools.

I did investigate upgrading my ship. The cost for one of the Steel Plates is 500 pirate coins and you need 110 of these things. My jaw just hit the floor. I think if I want to get anymore levels on my main ship, I’m going to need the lower level sea quests as well as Adventure Islands. Otherwise, this is going to be a nightmare.

The other thing I need to start doing again is my Adventure Tome. If I still feel unmotivated to finish up Feiton, I might have to just play my Berserker. I mean, there’s no real rhyme nor reason on what I do daily. It’s just how I feel and what things might catch my eye.
