Patch 2.7.0 has been a real gift to the power gamer type with the upgrade to Followers as well as the new Emanate system. With that system in place, a lot more doors begin to open up that demonstrate future potential improvements to the game, even if the basic idea is the same loop. But this post discusses my own additions so that there’s more ways to use loot and how Diablo 3 can continue to be updated.
I woke up extra early this morning and felt the urge to finish up the season journey. The biggest challenge, sad to say, was the set dungeon. But I had an Invoker set ready to roll along with other supporting gear so I said what the hell.
Since I finished up Baldur’s Gate 2 recently, I’ve started thinking about Diablo 3 Season 23, which probably will start during the first week of April. I have a few ideas of what I want to do and decided to put some of that down on a post.
So I hopped on the PTR today a few times to give the new Firebird revamp a spin along with checking out the new changes for ones Followers. Initially, I thought that the Tal Rasha 5 piece + Firebird 3 piece would be good but I did encounter issues as I upped the difficulty level.
Blizzard just dropped the next PTR 2.7 update announcement and I’m actually pretty excited for once. It’s a pretty huge overhaul to the Follower system and it’s something that I had been calling for a while now. Here are my initial impressions of the upcoming patch.
COVID-19 evened out the playing field when it came to Blizzcon in the sense that most people are stuck at home or even trapped in snow (as in Texas). But the good part is that this situation has allowed Blizzard to open up Blizzcon 2021 as a free event that can be viewed through YouTube channels.
Since I haven’t played a Crusader in a while, I decided to rebirth one to give the Hybrid Bombardment build a try. This build makes use of several sets, but is actually fairly easy to gear up (especially as a 3rd character in the season).
So I finally got my Hydra build up and running. Sadly, it was far easier to gear this character than my demon hunter, but that’s understandable as my demon hunter was my starter. However, before I tried this build, I was going Legacy of Dreams just to give it a shot. It felt a little awkward since I had no idea what I was doing and made the decision to try the new wizard set instead.
