Lost Ark: Slow Day

Because of a near all day headache (possibly eyestrain), I was prohibited from playing Lost Ark until much later in the evening. Not to mention I’m so behind on my writing that I felt that I had to take some time to get a page or two in on top of hitting the market (it was either that or spending over $50 for KFC via Uber Eats and I have some pork that I need to use in the near future).

I believe I started off on my Artillerist as I’m still working on the Azure Wind Island daily quest. If I’m not mistaken, I should be able to finish it off tomorrow. Once that happens, I get a Giant’s Heart as well as the emote, which has blocked my progress on Punika. I think if I manage to complete the Azure Wind Island daily, I’ll start working on the Atropos quest on my Artillerist just because I want to have my Gunlancer doing all the Feiton dailies for the Leapstones. I might eventually switch my Artillerist to the surfing daily but it’s a pretty low priority compared to the other stuff he’s working on.

Also, I pushed my Sorceress a bit further. She’s now above 1060 and roughly half way to 1080. I predict that at least by Thursday she should be able to do the final Feiton Chaos Dungeon level. Most likely by the time she gets ready for Punika, my Gunlancer ought to be done with Feiton’s main quest and begin his run towards 1100 ilvl.

For my Gunlancer, I pretty much got through a chunk of the Feiton quests tonight. I left off on the stealth quest and figured to start off fresh before continuing. On another note, all the Feiton dailies are open to him so I’m going to combine those with one other until my Artillerist is ready to take over Atropos. But the immediate plan is to do the dailies to start collecting the Leapstones as well as try and get a small advantage in terms of ilvl over the Feiton content. Many mobs are horribly annoying to take down and the Gunlancer’s damage at this stage isn’t the greatest.

My Scrapper continues to work in the Shunshire daily region. Pretty much her goal is to just keep collecting Leapstones and farm the Giant’s Heart from the Field Boss in Shunshire. I’m sure if I was more motivated on her, I’d make a bigger push to move forward but I just don’t see a good reason for now. Perhaps, once she gets the Giant’s Heart, I’ll think about moving her out of the region. Until then, she’s just not a compelling enough class to make me want to move her into Rohendel.

I didn’t do much with my Gunlancer outside of her dailies. I’m trying to get her some rested XP before sending her back into the Chaos Dungeon land. But she might be the one I want to send to Rohendel next. Similarly, on my Glavier I’m mostly doing Pirate Island stuff. I got her setup to do Blackfang’s Isle since I want to collect the Pirate Certificate. Also, the amount of Leapstones isn’t bad even though waiting around for the pirates to spawn can feel like a waste of time. But with that I managed to get her a little past ilvl 360. Tomorrow, I’m going to aim for the ilvl 380 Chaos Dungeon. It shouldn’t take too long and I probably can speed the process up if I was motivated in using my other characters to funnel T1 mats to her.

On my Shadowhunter, I’m pretty much just doing the Rohendel dailies until I can get another character in that zone to take over. I should use her to farm T1 mats for my other characters but maybe with all the rested XP, she’ll be able to get some nice loot from the Yorn dungeons once I get her through the main quests over there. It’s not a long area either maybe 2-3 days if I spread it out a little.

I did Tooki on my Paladin. I think I’m going to just use him for the odds and ends daily quests at the moment. Not sure what I’ll work on next. Maybe some of the lower ilvl requirement isles I still haven’t visited.

No more Berserker leveling tonight though. I feel that I should get my Gunlancer through Feiton before tackling anymore leveling. But once he’s done with Feiton, I’ll probably start working on my Shadowhunter just to make more inroads on the Tier 2 side of things.

Along the way, I’ve been working on more Rapport. I got Blackfang up to Amicable. She’s going to require a lot of work but is not completely impossible compared to the rougher Rapport people like Nineveh or Nia. Also, getting very close to reaching Trusted with the Toto Elder. That one is easy but very much worth getting for the Island Soul. Puppa is the same way which is why I’ve been doing the Panda Island daily on my Shadowhunter (not to mention I enjoy her little dance emote for Puppa).

Beyond these activities, I need to spend some time working on upgrading my gathering tools. I only have two now at epic level, which isn’t bad but I can tell it’s hurting me since gathering can be a pain. I know there’s a modifier on these tools to avoid being interrupted by mobs. So that’s going to be my big motivation in upgrading them to the next level.

Also, I need to start thinking about doing more to acquire ships and upgrade them. I know one major route is the doing Lopand daily quests. The end of the dailies awards the Brahms ship, which also is part of the roster quest for upgrading to level 4. What I’m thinking of doing is having my Paladin take on that task.

For upgrading my ships, that aspect will be a little tougher. Probably, the best ship to upgrade is my Estoque ship. Right now, it’s sitting at level 7. But if I want to have any hope of doing some of the sea bounties, etc. I’ll need to push it further. Also, I’ll need to work on getting better crew members which partly requires Rapport and even acquiring more merchants for my Stronghold.

Speaking of which, my Stronghold pretty much is almost frozen because the remaining upgrades have become 100g+ a pop. There’s not a lot of critical ones left so I’m holding off on the research aspect. I will have to start crafting some honing material, which will give me Stronghold XP. But again the cost of that material can be nasty. I might do that in conjunction with the guild weekly fishing quest. If I really want to push it, I might just set aside some time and have a few alts just head down to a fishing spot to farm out the necessary mats as well as completing that weekly quest.

Depending on how the rest of this evening goes, I might just do a very long Lost Ark session tomorrow. I’m planning to try and finish this chapter but it’s been giving me problems. My distraction level is just too high at the moment. At least, I have some food in the house so I won’t have to worry about that for at least a few days.
