World of Warcraft: Pet Battles and Lesser Charms of Fortune

Recently, I decided to level up some pets using the pet battle system. One of the nice benefits I learned was that you can occasionally acquire Lesser Charms of Fortune. I think this is a great method that you can use, especially if you’re incredibly burnt out on doing dailies and want to avoid grinding out killing mobs.

What makes this somewhat fun is that you can earn these charms on any level of pets. So let’s say you have a toon who is behind on charms, you’re a bit undergeared for a lot of dailies and you find yourself dying on occasion because you’re undergeared. Yet you still want to keep up on the charms somehow so that you can continue to accumulate Mogu Runes. Well, just go out in some starting zones and take some of your level 1 pets and do a few pet battles.

I like this method because it’s pretty low stress, there’s a nice little benefit and you can multitask somewhat through this method. For instance, let’s say you’re waiting in queue for LFR and you see 30-50+ minutes. Rather than quitting, just plow through a bunch of pet battles and get a few charms here and there. This method also offers the side advantage of just changing the pace a bit.
