Haven’t done a recent blog for Flashback and decided to write a small one just to put more thoughts down. Main thing is that I’ve been leveling a witch/Necromancer using SRS but I’m starting to feel less enthusiastic. Although the experience has been fine, my desire to play her slowly has been diminishing. In turn, my eye is aimed at another build: Champion Ground Slam.
Finally, after the much awaited hype, Wonder Woman 1984 (WW84) was released today to limited theater screenings (on XMAS????) and HBO Max. Luckily, I have been saving my HBO Max for some time and decided to give myself a late night Christmas watching.
Made more progress last night on pushing a 2nd conqueror. Next up is my least favorite of the 4: Hunter. But I did upgrade some gear with a few lucky drops and my biggest purchase of the league: a 6 link chest.
Early yesterday, I managed to finish the story mode and begin mapping. My initial goal was to take out the first Conqueror and then figure out my mapping strategy along with doing some Heists in an effort to gear up. While I have yet to really hit any deaths, I am starting to see small problems with my current Guardian Dominating Blow build.
So far I’ve been quite engaged in the current Flashback league. I managed to end up in Act 10 and did a few Heists just to continue the questing and leveling process for my followers. The leveling process has been fun compared to the normal Heist league and already I made my first Exalt today.
There’s a discussion on Reddit talking about how Heist will become part of Core. It’s a bit of a controversy at the moment as a good portion of the Path of Exile populace was not happy by the implementation of Heist. I wanted to add my take on Heist and the issue of continuing to move game mechanics into Core.
Tomorrow, we will be getting the Heist Flashback league. While I long since had quit Heist, I am looking forward to this particular league compared to the other two special leagues that came out this month. There’s a few features that have given me a great deal of interest and I am going to discuss them while talking about my starter build: Guardian Dominating Blow.
Apparently, LA Mayor Garcetti has issued an even stricter order that seems to leverage California Governor Newsom’s month long lockdown to effectively turn LA homes into cheap prisons for the state. I have some of my own theories on why he implemented this plan, but the bottom line is that I doubt this “plan” will prove effective. Instead, I will offer my thoughts on what a real plan should look like in this situation.
