I haven’t done a post in a few days just because my schedule had become pretty rough recently as well as encountering several personal set backs, including my kitchen sink backing up (fixed now), a car accident (not at fault, not major but still annoying) and getting my first vaccination shot. Nonetheless, oddly enough Boom Beach has been one of the few reliable things around for me to keep what little sanity I had these past two weeks just because I would receive a small thing to look forward to everyday.
Both accounts have been progressing nicely. My main account just started with the max level Smoke Screen and a 4th max level Boom Cannon. My secondary account already had finished up a 4th max level Boom Cannon but is a few upgrades behind in the Armory. I doubt that I’ll get the 5th max level Boom Cannon on my main account but it is possible for my secondary account this coming week.
On the bright side, the current iteration of Tribal Boosts are quite good with Tank damage leech, Barrage damage boost, increased number of Critters and Scorcher damage. However, these won’t last for the Mega Crab, which sucks because the Halloween Mega Crabs are awful with the stupid taunts and chaos mortars.
There’s still no mention about the last update for the HQ25 upgrade. I’m fine for it for now just because I have enough upgrades to keep me busy. But I’m guessing that we may see it after the Mega Crab just because the big Weapon Lab upgrade will become available.
For Warships Season 24, I pretty much gave up on my secondary account and am strictly focusing on my main account. I’ve made it to rank 12, which isn’t great but I’m just grinding chests and keys at this point. I just made it to 4ER last night and am aiming to pick up Barrage today. I think once I pick up Barrage, it should make dealing with mines so much easier. I’ve been saving upgrade tokens to try and max out my Barrage once I get it.
After Barrage, my next major target is the Rocket Launcher unlock. I can’t see myself using Seekers nor Rocket Choppers. Instead, my strategy is to use Cryoneers along with Kavan in a CHZ strategy to reduce the incoming damage against my Heavies. Barrage will be used to wipe out mine clusters and Kavan is there to help heal. I’m eyeing Medkit but I’m uncertain how many points I’ll put into upgrading it. My preference will be to go to 5ER and unlock Medics. I think if I can have a CHZM type of load out, my losses will be cut and it’ll allow me to take down bases faster.
The big goal right now is to grind to Heavy Choppas. But that’s going to take a long time and by that point, I don’t think there will be a lot of good options outside of saving keys and tokens to get there. That said, I hope that the CHZM strategy will work. As someone who lacks Instant Training, I’m not counting on chests from ranks. Instead, I feel it’s more important to upgrade your tech and find a good troop combination that works well with what you have.
What’s nice about the CHZ strategy right now is that Cryoneers allows me to save on troops per battle by spreading the number of casualties around. CHZM with the help of Barrage should mitigate a lot of the annoying damage from mines. Then with the mines out of the way, the Cryoneers can further mitigate damage from Boom Cannons and Cannons while Medics will heal up my troops when Rocket Launchers pelt me. I see that going forward into 5ER down the line.
I’ve seen high level players using Rocket Choppas or Seekers. But those players have Instant Training and carried over ranks from previous seasons. In turn, they were far ahead of the game. So you can’t use their strategy as an all encompassing strategy. Also, there just isn’t enough chests to make ranking progression work for most people compared to farming chests.
Regardless, this is the farthest I’ve ever progressed in Warships. I hope to be able to get to 6ER. I don’t know how high I can rank but I did manage to hit rank 13. I think getting to gold should be nice at the least and isn’t out of the question. I just need to get the right upgrades.
