AEW Rampage 9/17/2021 Review

This was a taped show from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Pretty much the last major show before their huge Arthur Ashe Stadium event next week in New York. Since by Dynamite only three matches for their Arthur Ashe Stadium had been announced for next week’s Rampage, I figured that this show would set up the remaining ones since Rampage will be a special 2 hour edition. On top of Excalibur being back from his wedding, Mark Henry was absent from the commentary booth this week while Ricky Starks replaced him. Sadly, Starks seemed to do a much better job there than Mark Henry but we’ll get into that later.

Boom Beach: HQ25 Imitation Game Day All Boost Mega Resources Progress

I took a break from blogging about my progress through the latest HQ25 update since there wasn’t much to talk about recently so I could save everything for Friday’s Imitation Game. As always, Friday ends up being the best day for resources (outside of the Mega Crab event) so pretty much I go all out with the offensive boosts to handle the event but my PVP battles as well.

Dark Side of the Ring Plane Ride from Hell Season 3 Episode 8 Review

I haven’t done one of these in a while but with my extra time these days and the fact that I recently got back into pro-wrestling, I figured it might be a good reason to write up a review of the latest Dark Side of the Ring entitled “Plane Ride from Hell.” This episode talks about an infamous case where various WWF stars returned from a European trip and created a big commotion. While not as heinous sounding compared to say the double murder-suicide of Chris Benoit and his family, the producers described this episode as being quite dark in its own right.

AEW Dynamite 9/15/2021 Review

From the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, this event was sold out with a reported 13k crowd. A pretty big deal considering that this is one of AEW’s go-home shows before next week’s massive Athur Ashe Stadium show in New York. Nonetheless, pretty much this was primarily a build up show with a few bright spots and CM Punk doing commentary.

Boom Beach: HQ 25 With Hammerman Strikes Back Day

Today, I felt was the first real test of the post HQ25 drop against Hammerman Strikes Back. I think if  either of my HQ were not at level 25, I would have fared a bit poorer in that the attacks were much fiercer, using stuff like Cryoneers from stage 4 and quite a bit of Grenadiers and even some Bombardiers at the higher stages. Still, I prevailed.

Boom Beach: HQ25 Another Week Done

Got through my Sunday by completing a stage 7 Dr T Volcano Island on both accounts. I did lose 1 tank on my secondary account but it occurred at the last stage which is my final attack of the day usually, meaning it would have little overall impact.

Boom Beach: HQ25 and the March That Continues On

Saturdays and Tuesdays tend to be boring as far as upgrades go. Dr T’s Tropical Island doesn’t really provide much resources these days for worthwhile upgrades while the upper levels can be harsh, especially as they probably will be adjusted in difficulty as troops receive new updates. Nonetheless, one can still find a few worthy upgrades even with the HQ25 update from time to time.

AEW Rampage 9/10/2021 Review

Another taped edition that was part of the Cincinnati, Ohio showing at the Fifth Third Arena. Once again, Chris Jericho was absent from the booth along with Excalibur. Excalibur though had a legitimate excuse in being married whereas Jericho might be taking the week off after his match with MJF. Instead, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Taz and Mark Henry started off the program and they wasted no time with entrances.

HQ25 Day 4 Progress

Today is another Imitation Game days. In short, plenty of resources, fully boosted statues and getting the chance to see the potential full power of my squad as both accounts barrel forward.

AEW Dynamite 9/8/2021 Review

This episode of AEW Dynamite was broadcast from the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pretty much the two things heavily advertised here were Jon Moxley’s main event match with Minoru Suzuki and Brian Pillman Jr as both are hometown heroes (well Pillman is quickly becoming one here). Also, this event was the start of the fallout for their All Out PPV and the first time AEW had come to Cincinnati. So a unique crowd for them as a first time situation.
