I’ve dialed back my time on Clash of Clans a bit mostly because I’ve been waiting (forever) for a variety of upgrades to complete. My main account has been on a roll when it comes to upgrades but just lacking gems to help finish things faster. Matter of fact, all my gems are gone practically so I can only sit around and twiddle my thumbs up my ass while things slowly complete.
The biggest thing was getting my Archer Queen to level 49. I managed to max out my Dark Elixir on that account while using some Sneaky Goblins. Also, been working on Cannons, Mortars and Towers as well as dumping left over resources into wall upgrades. Also, I’m looking at what my next major Laboratory upgrades will be as I’m thinking about possible new army compositions. I did start a Wizard upgrade a day ago since it was a fairly expensive one and I figure I might go for Miners in the future. Been hearing good things about Minors and Hog Riders so that might be a good combo if Electro Dragons start fizzling out in the future.
My old account needed another 2 day shield to be activated since I have a ton of unused Dark Elixir from the Season Bank. I figured to wait until my Archer Queen finished up then almost immediately start on another upgrade. I read that getting her to level 42 in TH11 is a solid goal just because of how she can take a lot of buildings out fast at that level. But my Barbarian King is pretty behind so I might hold off on her to catch him up.
Also, I started an Army Camp tonight. Right now, it won’t make much of a difference but that’s one of my next major set of priorities as well as my Elixir Storage where I’ll start dumping my gold. I may start upgrading my Grand Warden again but I figure until my Archer Queen is ready, I’ll probably hold off on upgrading him any further. In addition, I need to work on my Barracks just because Electro Dragons take a very long time to train and it’s practically my go-to troop at TH11.
Right now, I think what I might do is use Electro Dragons and get my main account to TH12 as fast as I can. Then as I farm out Dark Elixir on my old account, I’ll start upgrading Dark Elixir troops like Ice Golems, Witches and Bowlers in anticipation of getting Siege Machines. From there I can switch between Dark Elixir troops and normal Elixir troops depending on what I need. It probably will take me at least 2 seasons worth of upgrades before I can even begin thinking of getting my older account to TH12.
One thing I’m disliking though is the Builder Base. Even on my higher level base, the fights for the Builder Base are soul sucking. Very hard to get wins especially when the enemies’ bases are far higher in power. Fortunately for the daily Season bonus, you only need to get one star. Otherwise, I think I would just not even bother outside of pushing for that second builder.
On the bright side, tomorrow night starts the next round of Season Achievements. So at least on my main account, I should be able to get all the +15% reduction cost. I already hit the research reduction bonus and increased season bank size. My old account though is pretty behind but I’m waiting until my Archer Queen finishes up before going on the attack again.
Either way, it’s going slow. Wish the cost reduction bonuses were easier to get because I really need those as well as a way to speed things up.
