Today started the next round of Seasonal challenges. It helped allow me to grab the precious last Building Boost which makes everything cost less to build and finish up. Also, I unlocked the largest size seasonal bank which I feel will be easily filled up at this rate.
Last night and today, I used my Super potion to get Sneaky Goblins then used my Training Potions to do a mass resource grab. I got killed in trophies but on the positive side, I was able to upgrade my Grand Warden to 18, start on my 2nd Bomb Tower and get a ton of Walls upgraded. Fortuitously, one of the unlocked season challenges from today was deploying Super troops so I immediately did another round of Sneaky Goblins to obtain that.
I’m really looking forward to upgrading my Grand Warden to max level because I’m just so close. It just takes too long for these Heroes to upgrade. I could theoretically start on my Archer Queen but that would leave me with no heroes. So I decided that I would wait and go for the Earthquake spell, which I’ve been using with my Ice Golem – Witches – Bowlers army then use the Book of Spells to finish it off and perhaps farm out more Elixir to grab the Freeze spell.
Yes, I should take advantage of my Dark Elixir and dump it into my Archer Queen but I feel like without at least one Hero, especially her, it will become too difficult to get through some bases. Also, I want to obtain that Book of Heroes from the season challenge rewards. I haven’t decided which Hero I will apply it to but I might go with my Queen Archer since I still have a spare Dark Elixir Rune.
On the Builder Base, I started doing a bunch of small upgrades. I probably should finish up my Firecracker since I left it at level 7 but I feel that there’s a lot of small upgrades I need to get through just to move things along. But I did manage to start my Boxer Giants to level 16. That’s going to be awesome once it’s done because of the +1 to my Army Camp. I am going to max them out, which should be painful but I find them to be a great use in conjunction with the Cannon Carts, which are maxed out (because of the OTTO Hut requirements)
On the bright side, my new iPad is coming in later today. I can’t wait for that just because my current iPad is horribly slow and causes issues. Hopefully, I can transfer everything in getting my new iPad setup so that I can start playing Clash again. Unfortunately, I will have to buy the season pass and possibly the 5th Builder Hut but what can you do? This month is already proving to be expensive so I figure fuck it. Now, that I have more experience with strategies and a website I can easily copy base layouts, it shouldn’t be as difficult grinding up my old account to a reasonable level. Also, I’ll finally be able to donate troops again which should be a huge boon to both accounts.
The other thing is that the season part should make the catch up a lot easier. I have some strategies now for getting both bases up a lot more. Like using the Gob-knife for farming resources especially Walls. Since my old base is going to be in a terrible state, I won’t have to worry about ranks. Instead, I’m just going to dump everything into resource grabbing to really start pushing myself back up. And when I am able to get the Season Bank, I should have enough to do some big time upgrades. It’s going to be fun (and costly).
