If there’s one thing that’s absolutely frustrating, it’s waiting. And waiting in a game that leaves you vulnerable to attacks for all the hard work you put in is the worst feeling in the world. But in my case, not only am I waiting for things to finish in the virtual world, but I’m also waiting for my iPad that’s supposedly coming by Monday.
On the positive side of things, my new “main account” (my Android phone) is doing swell. I farmed up enough gold to put into a max level Bomb Tower upgrade for TH11 this morning while my Grand Warden had completed and I started a Barbarian King upgrade to level 42. All my resource generators are now maxed out too, which is cool because those are less things to worry about as I focus on other things.
Also, I used my Rune of Gold to fill up my storage as my gold was pretty low after starting that Bomb Tower upgrade and used my Book of Building to finish up my Inferno Tower so that I could start that off. So my base is a bit vulnerable at the moment but a lot of costly upgrades are all done or getting done.
What I might do is try to get the other Bomb Tower upgraded sometime in the next day or two. Then I’ll focus on the two Air Sweepers and whatever other defenses I have remaining. I probably should use my guys for upgrading traps but it just feels so much better getting these expenses defenses upgraded. It’s like eating your vegetables before getting to the dessert, except the vegetables are probably tastier than the dessert.
My Builder Base is doing fine too. I might be able to get one Firecracker today to level 7. I still have the Builder Gold rune coming up as a seasonal reward so I might use that for the max level upgrade. It was either that or farm resources for the Lava Launcher which looks as though it will take forever to upgrade. As stupid as this sounds, I might leave that for last just because it’s such a costly upgrade.
Looking ahead, I’m think that by the time this season ends (17 days), I should have a good chunk of my defenses here upgraded. So that may leave a ton of Gold leftover. What I might end up doing is dumping all my season bank gold into Wall upgrades. I was able to upgrade a good chunk of my low level walls to where the bulk of my current walls are. But I still need quite a bit to go just to get them to level 11. I have upgraded a few to level 12 but I mostly used those Wall Rings. I think the plan for the moment is to hoard Wall Rings just to use them on the highest level Walls I can upgrade.
The rest of the season resources will probably go into my Grand Warden as much as I can and my Archer Queen. I still have another Dark Elixir rune which I’m going to save until my Archers are complete. Then I’ll use that and try to upgrade my Archer Queen and the Earthquake spell at the same time. I have a Book of Spells to instant finish the Earthquake spell and will probably start working on the Bat spell.
Looking a little sooner though, the real anticipated moment is recovering my old main account. Since I left it at TH10, I have a ton of work to do. With the Season pass though, I think it shouldn’t be terrible. Also, by the time I get to TH12 on my main account, I will aim for the Workshop so I can make Wall Wreckers that I can donate. Unfortunately, I might have to get the 5th builder and season pass to play a lot of catch up. But at least I should be able to start donating troops and spells. Just getting a few more freezes in or rage spells should help tremendously.
Of course, that also means dealing with a severely under leveled Builder Base. Since Season challenges incorporate the Builder Base, I might be forced to play that. But I might just turtle it for a while until I can get a max level Builder Hall. It worked quite well for my Android account and I ended up getting a ton of dead bases until recently.
It does suck being so behind though. It won’t be like Boom Beach where my Android account quickly caught up to my main account. Also, I will need a strategy for troops. I might do something like all Dragons with Rage and Freeze spells initially. I still have to figure out how to use Clan Castle Troops as I read you can use them offensively. So I might do something like donate an Electro Dragon as those are really cool.
But if I need Elixir, I might have to start working on my Dark Elixir troops there. I have liked the Ice Golem, Bowler and Witch combo but I think those are under leveled. Also, I might not have the spell to fit many Ice Golems. In that sense, I’ll need to figure out how to use these guys together.
One thing that I’m learning is the Archer Queen walk. I haven’t used it much since I only recently got her upgraded to level 43, but it’s kinda cool. I can imagine at higher levels using her with healers to annoy opponents and grab resources should be neat.
