I finally got my Battle Machine to level 30. That felt so good as now I have the option to use a 6th builder for my home base as well as opening up two builders on my Builder Base. In addition, at the moment, I have so much gold on my Builder Base that I’m finally doing a lot of small upgrades before I dump it all into a max level Double Cannon.
The other thing cool that will happen later today once I get a few more upgrades in is getting about 200 points for the Season which should unlock even more rewards, including the invaluable +15% research and training boosts as well as a Dark Elixir rune. I’m probably going to wait a bit to use that Dark Elixir rune so that can upgrade things like my Bats spell. But once I get the Book of Spells, I’ll probably use it on Earthquake after starting an upgrade.
What’s also pretty cool is that I have 1 million builder gold that I’ve got saved and ready to collect. I’m not sure what exactly I’ll use it for initially, but it might be the Giant Cannon just because its cost is around that amount. I believe this season also has a Rune for Builder’s Gold so I might save that for something huge like a max level Giant Cannon or whatever happens along my way first. At least, I can get a lot of these smaller upgrades going for today and pair things up where I do one major upgrade and a smaller one in parallel. Also, I’m really making a push to upgrade my Boxer Giants. The level 16 one is exciting because it’ll give me another +1 to my camps. It should make upcoming battles a lot better.
For my home base, my Archer Queen should get to level 43 today. That will free up one builder and makes me set my eyes on my other Inferno Tower that needs two levels. Since that’s the most expensive upgrade next to getting to TH12, I’m probably going to do that one.
One thing I will say is that Electro Dragons are super cool for wins. But they’re so expensive as an army that they are prohibitive in trying to upgrade the Grand Warden. However, I do find myself getting a fair amount of Dark Elixir and Gold anytime I use them so I might employ them for farming Dark Elixir in upgrading my Archer Queen or Dark Elixir spells along with normal building upgrades. I think once my Inferno Tower is maxed out, I might do a strategy where I keep my Archer Queen and Grand Warden in a non-upgraded state so and just farm gold and Dark Elixir to walls and spells. Walls are just brutal to upgrade but I figure I need to get mine to a point where they’re at least one level below the maximum before getting into the next Town Hall level.
Also, I need to upgrade other Dark Elixir troops like my Lava Hounds. There’s just so many that are under leveled so I’ll probably wait a bit until I’m in a good state to switch back to my Archer Queen for upgrades. But I did manage to get my Dark Elixir army portion upgraded to the current maximum level. Ice Golems, Bowlers and Witches now are in a good spot.
But the real problem overall is that I’m so behind when it comes to needing the donated extra stuff. I think it’s hurting big time. I’m pretty tempted to get another iPad as mine is at the point where it’s practically unusable. So I might just go ahead and purchase one soon, even if it’s refurbished. It’s not like I need one for doing serious work and it’s been almost 9 years since I got my first one. Maybe it’ll motivate me to do some Objective C or Swift programming.
