Finally, after the longest time, I’m finally able to get start my Battle Machine for max level. This was one of the biggest pains in the ass ever since it took forever. But partly how I did it was using the last season’s Rune of Elixir for the Builder Base and filled up my storage. Because I have the 10% reduced cost bonus going, I managed to bring down the cost of the Battle Machine slightly and have some Elixir left over as I wait to get a little more resources for upgrading my Boxer Giants to level 14 (should be enabled soon). But this will give me the 6th Builder in a few days!
I know I’m pretty behind on the Builder Base but I think I waited so long in rushing my base that it gave me a bunch of fake opponents that would instantly lose against me. Of course, all those opponents had far better bases than mine but I got wins nonetheless. Hey, I’ll take anything free as long as it’s good for me.
Now, that I’m doing Builder Base battles again and ranking up, I’m starting to get real opponents. But my base has been upgraded steadily for a while just using turtling techniques (i.e. collecting resources and no daily battles). It’s kinda nice because the opponents I’m getting pitted against have shitty bases that I can get 100% victories against. Considering one of these season challenges is to destroy 500 buildings Builder Base battles, I consider this a major gift for what may turn out to be an easy 200 points.
I might get back to my main base but for now, I’m waiting for a few upgrades to finish. The next major thing I’m planning is something in my Research building. I don’t quite have the resources for another level of Bowlers but I might just invest into the Bat spell since it’s so far behind. I’ve seen a few army combinations that make heavy use of the Bat spell whereas mine is severely underleveled.
The real ace in the hole is to get that 20% reduction. Those bonuses are just too good to pass up every season. Also, that season bank is massive. I’m guessing that’s how many people are upgrading their walls in bulk. But that’s going to come in a month or so, which means I have to wait a bit.
I think this time around, I plan to wait until my walls are upgraded before doing the next Town Hall level. Sure, there’s so much that needs work on my town but I’m in a far better spot than when I started. I’m definitely pushing my Queen and Grand Warden as far as I can take them. It is pretty painful though but at least with the Grand Warden, I only have 5 more levels before he’s maxed for this town’s level. I might be able to get at least one upgrade before the end of the season in.
Also, I need to get another level of archer upgrades in. I read about how a deadly combo is using the Archer Queen with Sneaky Archers. But for that I need another upgrade to my archers. Just a lot of competing priorities, not enough gems and time to get everything done.
I am liking that one of the challenges is using the Rage spell for 200 points. Since I use Electro Dragons, it’s a pretty natural thing for me. With the right base, I think I can knock out that challenge soon.
Anyway, I really wish I had my main account back. Again, I just need a new iPad. It sucks not having one that can support such a simple app.
