Boom Beach HQ25 Imitation Day Upgrades and Warships Continuation


Both accounts now on Warships are at 3ER. My secondary account is only slightly behind my main account. One thing I did was not choose Rocket Launchers for the time being on my secondary since they were doing absolutely no damage and only served as a distraction. But I had sunk too many keys on my main into the Rocket Launcher and was seeing no benefits. I’ve heard that for them to work you need Building Damage and I won’t be able to reach that for a while.

Let’s start with Imitation Game. Stage 7 was a bit tougher just because of boosted Building Health statues and the Grappler and Shock Blaster additions. But with two attacks, the base went down fairly easily. Much of the base’s defenses for today were clustered up so it wasn’t too bad.

For my main account, I scored up enough resources to get a 2nd max level Rocket Launcher started. One night thing about Rocket Launcher defenses is that they don’t take much time to upgrade. So by Monday, it’ll be ready for Hammerman Strikes Back. My secondary account is in the position to upgrade something else but lacks the Iron to get another Rocket Launcher. Unfortunately, I did use my Resource Boat the other day to push another Landing Craft upgrade but it did bring my total max Landing Crafts to four. So I’m pretty happy about that.

In terms of Warships, I just unlocked the Cryotanks on my main account. I probably won’t be putting any upgrade tokens into those. Instead, I’m trying to get my Building Health node to max, where currently it’s sitting at three ticks. Since I’m grinding to get to 4ER, it is going to take a few days. Any remaining upgrade tokens will be going into Building Health, Flares and finally Heavies if I can spare some. That way if/when I get to Heavy Choppas, they won’t be hitting like a wet noodle. I might even put tokens into Zookas but I don’t see myself doing splits in the near future.

One thing that I will avoid are Mortars. The only benefit for using Mortars is to deal with pesky critters. But they simply don’t do enough damage to anything important that truly threaten your base. Instead, I’d prefer to get into 4ER fast, pick up the GBE node, max that out, pick up the Shock Launcher node and maybe pick up another GBE node. I’ve been pretty GBE starved and when people start front loading Boom Cannons, it makes my load out very difficult to handle without being able to shock things quickly.

One thing I’m not sure I’ll do immediately is just go straight into 4ER or farm up more chests to get a useful node immediately. My fear about 4ER are opponents with Barrage. I pretty much have no chance of that until I can get a ton of keys. That’s partly why I’m trying to load up on Building Health right now since I can see players with Barrage knocking down at least one ER.

At any rate, the march continues on….
