Boom Beach HQ25 Warships Critter Cannons, Unblocked on Secondary Account Finally

I finally managed to unblock myself on my secondary account in scoring a bunch of really poorly designed bases with terrible players that almost intentionally seemed to exist to resolve my problem of being de-ranked. The outcome was that I managed to get enough chest to upgrade my Heavies to tick 4 but at the same time grab Tanks so that I could beat bases without losses or minimize my losses.

The current plan for my secondary account is to grab 114 keys so that I can pick up Critter Cannons. I know these aren’t the best available troop but what they provide is invaluable in clearing mines and providing distractions. So you’ll end up losing a lot less. Unfortunately, you’ll be hard pressed to beat a lot of players doing Hooka splits but if you’re not intending to rank up and just farm chests, then this is a good load out.

My main account uses 5 Landing Craft worth of Tanks and 3 Landing Craft worth of Critter Cannons. I found that 3 Critter Cannons are enough to provide quite a bit of distraction and mine clearing. Theoretically, with a bad base you can also attempt to split your troops up. I think if you go that route, then you can half your tanks to one side and vice versa to even both sides up. I wouldn’t attempt to make an attempt at a three way though. You’ll just lose too much in the process.

I did manage to pick up and upgrade my Shock Bombs on my main account to 3 ticks. Right now, I’m saving my tokens for Dr Kavan which I should get later today. From there, I’m going to spend most of my tokens on upgrading him. Then I’ll aim for Boom Cannons and re-evaluate.

One thing though that I did differently between accounts was using Mines on my secondary account whereas my main account picked up Rocket Launchers. Rocket Launchers without Building Damage hit like a wet noodle. Even against Riflemen, Rocket Launchers aren’t good. So my thought right now as I’m aiming towards Kavan on my main is to eventually backtrack with Mines and also pick up Flamethrowers. But before I get those, I’m definitely grabbing Boom Cannons as those are good for stopping Tanks and Heavies.

I’m a little afraid of 4ER because of Seekers and Barrage. But I think I’m going to aim for the Shock Blaster before collecting keys for the useless Mechs. I’m probably going to pick up the Barrage node as well as the two Boom Cannons. I don’t know how effective Shock Launchers will be at this stage though so I might just aim for 5ER by that point.

I think with 5ER, I might try for that Building Damage node and avoid Incinerators. There’s a Troop Damage node that looks tempting but it will force me to pick up Incinerators. Because of how close Heavy Choppas are from that point, it might simply be worth heading straight to 6ER and grab stuff later.

At any rate, I think of myself as being supremely fortunate on my secondary account for managing to get bad bases. I honestly thought I would be forced to drop all the way down to the worst ranking to face shitty bases. And in some cases, a few bases looked that way, which is how I scored wins by the RNGesus gods. Nonetheless, that doesn’t change my outlook on the need for a reset button.
