Boom Beach HQ25 Warships With Tanks

I figured to drop a small update on my progress with Warships on this current season. It looks like my secondary account has absolutely no hope of getting any chest at this point unless I get extremely lucky. But to this point it makes me believe how Supercell utterly fucked up their own game by not allowing for at least one reset during a Season. Pretty much if you accidentally screw up your tech tree, you have zero chance of playing, which kills all incentive to play. So they really need to modify the game in this aspect whether their Chinese overlords care or not.

Before getting started on Warships, I will say that I did manage to upgrade one of my Rocket Launchers to max on my main account. Since I had boosted my Resource Production tribal boost and was pretty close to being able to upgrade my Rocket Launcher, I figured it was worth pushing. I had to spend Diamonds to rush my Weapon Lab so I’m really down on my main account and probably won’t be able to rush much more for a long time. I’m hoping that for this weekend, I can get either a Shock Launcher or another Rocket Launcher upgraded. Shock Launchers are cheaper so I might go that route.

Now, let’s talk about the current season of Warships with Tanks. So I had just enough tickets to unlock Critter Cannons and have maxed them out. So that should allow me to clear some of the mines out a bit. I’m not going to win as much but I’m mostly just going for chests at this stage. My next target will be Shock Bombs followed by Dr Kavan. I’ll probably save my tokens up for Dr Kavan as he will provide some healing or damage immunity with his Crystal Shields ability.

From there, I’m looking to head towards 4ER. I don’t know how good Cryotanks will be. They might just be a resource sink. I’m not losing too many tanks right now so I could experiment with them. Mortars look like a complete waste since they can’t damage anything besides Riflemen, Zookas and Critters at this stage. Flame Throwers might be a better short term investment as people still are using Heavies for rushing. But I think Boom Cannons are the more immediate thing to grab.

I did grab Building Health, which I think won’t matter except against Heavy rushes. But that was only because I wanted Critter Cannons. I might put some points later on into Building Health especially once I start saving tokens to get into 4ER. I might eventually backtrack to grab normal Mines just to annoy Heavy rushes and split Hooka attacks. Right now, I think it’s just better to get some of the basics plus Kavan in preparation for 4ER.

The main thing is to head towards Heavy Choppas. I am behind though in terms of my Heavies’ level on my main account. So eventually, I will need to upgrade those. But I think progressing through steadily, getting my chests when I can and managing my win counts slow and easy are what will count. I know some people are going to aim for Seekers but that’s a different type of play better suited for high skill capped players. For the casual player, Tanks are almost a godsend this season despite being so slow.

But let me talk about the real elephant in the room in playing this season. It’s the inability to reset your tech tree. This has to be by far the most frustrating type of decision I’ve seen in a game. There is absolutely no benefit for not allowing at least one tech reset. My argument would be to either allow for unlimited tech resets prior to shifting to 3ER or allow for one tech reset per new ER. Other games allow a similar pattern but without this ability, you’re virtually jammed and probably will end up getting discouraged because the feeling is hopeless.

The truth is that there is no benefit for Supercell in preventing a tech reset. People who won’t buy Instant Training aren’t suddenly going to purchase it if they suddenly realize that they have no chance because of a mistake they’ve made. Decisions like these are what gives games bad reputations and makes the developers look like idiots and the company look rigid and awful. Right now, if it weren’t for my main account doing reasonably well, I would absolutely despise Supercell. I think they are an evil company because they’ve sold themselves to the Chinese but they should throw their audience a bone once in a while. My experience with Supercell’s community managers and community in general has generally been pretty toxic. The community managers are apathetic, they refuse to listen to feedback of the audience, the people in the community complain all the time and the content creators are too small of a bunch in a very niche area where their advice generally has been bad.

At any rate, I’m going to try pushing through this. Hopefully, at least I can grab 1-2 boxes and get tanks on my secondary account because it’s really demotivating.
