Lost Ark and Clash of Clans Combo Post (Another One)

Figured that since I’ve been doing these combo posts that I should just write up another one. Normally, I was doing something like this in my private blog section but I have nothing else to talk about except writers block so it made no sense to continue wasting XXX amount of hours in a day when most of the issues I wanted to talk about were gaming related. Regardless, today was interesting on both fronts.

Going to start off with Lost Ark. Not much new stuff for my Artillerist. Mostly focusing on the Isteri and Whispering Islet dailies. I was going to do some stuff for Chaos Dungeons then just ran out of time and didn’t feel like it.

For my Sorceress, I finally hit that all important ilvl 1100, which means Punika time. I kept her on the sidelines as I think I was a bit burnt out of doing the same thing and didn’t want to start progressing into Punika just yet. Maybe tomorrow if I manage to get some writing done tonight. My Gunlancer too sat on the sidelines. I am considering moving him back into the Combat Readiness Spec just because Lone Knight just isn’t interesting to me.

I was more focused today on lower tier/level characters. So my Shadowhunter saw some progress. Still working through Yorn’s Chaos Dungeons. I think she might be able to complete them soon though since the lower upgrade percentages don’t kick in until you get to Feiton.

My Scrapper saw a huge advancement in hitting that ilvl 600. In turn, I purchased a bunch of ilvl 802 gear and did the gear transfer. Right now, I’ve parked her over on the new chicken island for the event. But I think she’ll end up staying there as a farmer while the event is going on just so that I don’t have to deal with another Yorn run.

Similarly, my Gunslinger is slowly trudging her way through the Rohendel Chaos Dungeons just as my Scrapper had done. So I pooled the remaining honing materials for her that was leftover from my Scrapper. Also, I might switch up her daily routine just so that she gets a little more Leapstones.

Something I tried doing was pushing my Paladin through the Rohendel Knowledge Transfer. Alas, my Gunslinger used the remaining Knowledge Transfer amount up. So I’m going to have to pick another alt to do the whole Rohendel quest line again. Probably, it’ll end up being my Glavier just because of her damage.

Speaking of the Glavier, it feels so good not having to do that stupid Blackfang’s Den daily for the reputation rewards anymore. I’m still doing it for another day because of the higher Leapstones but I won’t willingly go back to that island and wait around wasting my time.

The big thing I worked on today was getting my Berserker to Tortoyk. There was a maintenance thing going on at 12am so I had about 2-3 hours tops to push as much as possible. At this point, the main quest line to level 50 is pretty mundane to me so East Luttera felt pretty trivial. Usually, around Arthentine is where I feel things get annoying and where I want to do my Knowledge Transfer of North Vern. But at this time, I’m mostly getting engraving books. I managed to finish up the green part for Mayhem Berserker and now am working towards finding another 10 rare books so that I can activate the ability. The cost for one rare Mayhem Berserker engraving is roughly 35 gold and I might just have to shell out the gold because the rest of the quests won’t provide anymore from what I’ve read. And that sucks because I need to do the same for my Glavier.

I might be able to claim some gold tomorrow though because of all the Chaos Dungeons weekly quests I’ve been running. In the case of my Sorceress and Scrapper, I’m going to really need to get them through Punika and Yorn respectively. So tomorrow I might push on my Sorceress just so she can start running Punika Chaos Dungeons (well the bright side will be that she’ll be in 1302 gear which should also start qualifying her for doing harder Guardian raids). Also, I’m hoping that moving my Scrapper into tier 2 she’ll feel better than in Tier 1 because she’s just incredibly squishy at the moment.

But going back to my Berserker, it’s been fun so far. I do think I’m going to need another daily farmer though. There’s just so many quests and islands I haven’t done and my priorities are all over the place. I could simplify everything just by paying gold because I have received all his major abilities, not including Awakening skills. Still, I want to enjoy him while he’s still not at 50 just yet.

That would leave my Deathblade that I’ll eventually need to level. I haven’t touched her in a while and with all the additional skill points, I have to wonder how much of a difference that will make from the last time I played her. The big thing I noticed just was how bad her damage was. And mostly that’s my fault because I don’t do enough back attacks. For bosses, that usually isn’t an issue. But with normal mobs and even elites at times, there’s no real need to go into a try-hard mode in landing a back attack. But I might look into playing her once my Berserker gets to level 50 and begins his matriculation through my usual power up phases.

Onto Clash of Clans. Not much can be said for the moment. I think I mentioned that my Laboratory started a major upgrade the other day. That should take a little less than a week from this moment. I think my initial goal will be to really push the Log Launcher. If I do an Ice Golem + Witches attack, I won’t have a need to depend on troop upgrades since my Witches are at maximum level and my Ice Golems don’t need to level up in TH13. I think my Bat spell is also maxed out so I can add that to the mix. Also, I started upgrading my Royal Champion today and will see her completed sometime tomorrow. Once she gets ready, I might start attacking again. But in freeing up her Builder, I’m going to upgrade my Clan Castle. So that still leaves another Cannon that is 4 days out to completion which is my closest next Builder that will be free. Most likely, I’ll either focus on an Army Camp or start upgrading the Town Hall to get my Giga Inferno up there.

On my secondary account, the big thing that was finished was one of the X-Bows. So with all the gold I had, I used it for another X-Bow. I’m waiting for my other Gold Storage to free up so that I can use that Builder for my last Gold Storage for TH12 as an upgrade. Also, my Archer Queen finally should be done soon. I might hold off on my Archer Queen for a little while just to get some value out of her while I began using that account for its Stone Slammer.

Since most of these upgrades are going to take a while, it really gives me some time to chill. There’s no new season stuff for me to do and I’m mostly waiting for Clan Games to arrive since I’m so behind on my Clan’s levels. My only opportunity to level up is during Clan Games and I can only get so many XP each time. I figure for the moment I’m going to use the spare time for Lost Ark anyway.
