I love builds that depend on weapons that do not have a real 6-link requirement. Items like Ngamahu’s Flame that allow you to put support gems regardless of linking provide interesting game play as you’re given a bit more flexibility as you can mix and match gems to create diverse builds. The Soulwrest staff is one such item and had been something I’d been eyeballing for a while.
Although I was sad that I never had the opportunity to get into the Beta for the Necromancer, I did not hesitate to purchase it as I still wanted to give the class a shot. Anyone who knows me realizes that I’m a class junkie. Just the two extra character slots and stash space made it worth my money. But for those who didn’t want to pay for the content, you still could receive other features like the new zones and challenge rifts.
While the highly anticipated Diablo 4 or Diablo 3 expansion were not announced at Blizzcon 2016, the big news for Diablo 3 was a character pack for the Necromancer class. Earlier, it was “accidentally” unveiled of a poster showing a male and female Necromancer artwork on the Blizzard store, hinting at the possibility of an expansion. Instead, the wording was toned down (at least for expectations) for something called a character pack due for 2017.
