Today wasn’t as productive of a Diablo 4 day just because I ran into numerous technical issues across the board. But once I resolved those I mostly leveled my Barbarian to 60 and got her into Torment 1. Right now, I really want to obtain a Shroud but to do so I’m feeling that I need to roll another character. Someone revealed that Rogues have the best chance of getting one of those items (and I watched DatModz the other get 5 or so disheartening spears on his Sorc) so I’ll probably level up a Rogue tomorrow. Luckily, I have both an Andariel’s Helmet and Ring of the Starless Skies so I’ll be able to do some decent damage at level 35.
Unfortunately, I did learn of a bug for the Wildrage aspect which allowed for an infinite damage Creeper druid build. As I run that aspect for my Raven Druid, effectively my build is down for the moment. I’m hoping that they only fix the issue with the Creeper build because the aspect should only reset cooldowns from what read. That said I pretty much can’t really play my Druid until the patch goes out.
Then with the Barbarian hitting level 60, I decided to stop momentarily before pushing her. Like the rogue, the Barbarian uses that one perk that drains life. Because it’s so sketchy and I’ve seen a weird bug that causes my health to diminish for no apparent reason, I figure it might not be a good time to run her.
For the Rogue, I think the end goal is to try the Death Trap build. I think the end game version requires very strict gear so I might stick with some other build initially like Heartseeker. Heartseeker also looks sketchy but at least I can fight from the distance. Also, I’m certain I have a few spare weapons to start that build off. Like the Barbarian, I’ll probably just take the Rogue to Torment 1 if the build ends up being sketchy just to be able to attempt to craft a Shroud chest piece.
If I do end up playing a Rogue (which is highly likely just to try the chest craft), I might as well do a Necromancer too eventually. I saw that the Necromancer has a Soulrift build that you can spam cast. It looked like a better version of Blood Surge so I might try that since it’ll just be around for a single season. Also, I’ll do that for one more spark (maybe the Necromancer is whom I will craft a Helmet on) But leveling has been quite quick this season with the scroll boost. You do lose out on some loot but since the post season quest reputation grind is infinite, you can still obtain more chaos armor and gear that way.
In the case of my Barbarian, I learned you can get lower level Chaos Armor which is still oddly considered item level 800. So having that really helps low level builds. Also, I think if you can get key perks like the auto shout one, you can really enable fun builds early on that speed up the leveling process. At any rate, I’ll probably play until the end of this coming weekend. If there’s a major change that adds more builds, I might consider changing builds for some characters. Otherwise, I think I have a good feeling for the season and want to avoid complete burn out.
