I’m trying to get this game out of my system over this weekend because I anticipate this coming week to be fairly busy for work. That said, I want to go over the latest stuff I’ve accomplished and a new finding to progress your seasonal quest faster for alts.
The main goal today was to first swap my Druid to the Raven Companion build. I had some basic gear and decided to farm a few extras to him started. First thing I realized was just how powerful this build is. This is definitely faster and less painful than Pulverize for me at least. I think the big thing is that the build feels a lot faster since I’m not using the Banished Lord Talisman on the boot slot. Even with just legendaries and the new unique (as well as a starter Fist of Fate and the Andariel’s Visage helmet and the 2nd Ring of Starless Skies I found), this build just glides through things. I think if I wasn’t intent on trying to obtain more mythics, I would probably push this build a lot more as I only got him to T2 and leveled up his Glyphs to 15. I’ve heard some people saying that they pushed all the way to T4 with almost the bare minimum setup. In my case, I don’t have any resource issues because of the Ring of Starless Skies and I can see why.
My main comment about this build is that it feels like a better version of the old Tornado druid build but tankier. One thing I do appreciate is that you use a certain aspect to stay in Wearwolf form to cast the Raven ability. Then you just spam that along with Blood Howl. I know the build changes up with the other two mythics but I’m far off from obtaining those. And I am trying.
The other build I started up is an Evade Spiritborn. I haven’t optimized this build too much just yet but I did manage to find a chaos version of the Wushe Nak Pa for the chest. It’s not great because ideally you’d want a Shroud of False Death in that slot but I doubt I’ll be finding one of those in the near future. But the big thing is trying to get Evade’s cooldown to hit 42%. There’s a few things I need to get there like masterworking and getting a good amulet. But it’s a neat little build because of the speed. I might have to ditch the Andariel’s Visage for a normal Loyalty Mantle to get the benefit but I’m in a good spot right now to start swapping more gear.
Now, the big thing I found out is that you can talk to a vendor in that village with the season reward board who can sell scrolls to give reputation. Since I’m sitting at over 50k in reputation, I can just buy them from one of my main season characters and dump all the scrolls into the bank. For instance, my Spiritborn’s season quest is now done and I obtained a spark from that. So this is an easy way to farm up sparks as long as you have the spare reputation and an abundance of gold. This motivates me to create another alt tomorrow for a Barbarian just to start her up. The cool thing here is that I might be able to get the Shout chaos perk early on which would help me blaze through a chunk of content.
In general, I might continue to do this just to see how many mythics I can craft. While I’m not as keen at the moment to play a Rogue nor Necromancer, I might just start them up for the sparks. If I manage to get anything useful like a Shroud or Perdition, then I might actually play them. Otherwise, I’ll probably stick with the the four and just see how far I can take them.
