This was a bizarre question that this one Japanese lady asked me when I was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Roppongi/Tokyo my first time. I believe it was the winter of 1999, early December and it was my first major vacation away from the US. I stayed at a backpacker’s lodge called the New Koyo Inn in a spot in Minowa, experiencing the adventure of Tokyo life (and hardships). I can’t remember how or why I was in Roppongi that night nor how I even managed to discover the Hard Rock Cafe there since I wasn’t really into site seeing at that point in time. Later, the Hard Rock Cafe in Roppongi would eventually become a spot I’d frequent for dinner and the occasional drink whenever I was feeling lonely.
After getting hooked on the TV series Game of Thrones, I decided to supplement my watching material as well as my own writing through picking up George RR Martin’s novels. Part of the decision was to get a better view of his world and delve into the details that the TV show might be missing. Another part was to get ahead in some ways and find out the aspects of the TV show that critics who are huge book fans decry constantly. And the last part was to enter into the verbal world because I, too, am working on my own fantasy novel and, as my writing instructors at UCI once said, “Read while you write.”
This post might seem really late in the game considering that patch 2.1.1 has been out for some time now. However, one of the things I’ve managed to accomplish is gear and try out all the popular high end builds as best as I could and try a few different play styles. Yes, this does mean I have legitimately leveled 8 characters to level 70 and 7 of them are reasonably geared for this write up.
Some sadistic jerk in from one of the Twitch streams I subscribe to made a suggestion to check out Megan Is Missing because the streamer enjoys “fuck up things.” Since I haven’t seen a movie in a while (at least a non-repeat), I decided to hang out and give this thing a try. If you don’t want to take a bazooka and blow your head off after seeing this piece of shit, then you must be far more fucked up than everyone involved in this production and the real events.
