Spitzer Getting Nailed (Figuratively and Literally)

Having a plaything as a politician might not be the best option for people in office at the moment, especially with the presidential elections hovering around the corner and the massive onslaught of Democrats attacking any nefarious deals that they could sniff on the Republican party.  Well, it looks like payback is a bitch for one New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, who looks like will face resignation over what could've been a nasty setup by the Republicans looking to take back some of their territory, or at least throw a black eye towards the Democrats.

It didn't take long before the Republicans immediately called for impeachment or resignation, which for all intents and purposes means to kick the guy out asap.  I forget the name of a past Republican politician who similarly had something setup where he was indicted for having relationships supposedly with young boys.  In public, the guy decried the situation and said that he was setup.  Whether or not that's true is irrelevant; however, it forces one to think to what level the government is willing to stoop to claim power.

My viewpoint: the US government is irrelevant.  At this moment, it feels as though they have 30% controlling power, whereas the remaining numbers are held by lobbyists from companies.  The more I look at the US, the more I'm occasionally elated to be in Japan to avoid having the embarrassment of paying taxes and losing money to such a corrupt form of government and system.
