so now it appears that Benoit has accidentally killed his wife in a domestic argument then killed his son in panic. one must wonder what the argument was about. it's hard to say considering Benoit has always been quiet. however, you can only see hints of his life appearing. "Wrestling is my passion, my mistress." Or the part where he's got Paul Heyman backed up and telling him about his personal sacrifices and what that entailed. Only now, one can assume what those sacrifices meant. My guess is that he must've sacrificed his home life, his family life, his health and friends to perform. his addiction was wrestling and only he understood what it meant to him. maybe the argument was about an agreement in cooling off a while to spend time with his family, something he was unwilling to make. i guess that's why wrestling is a fraternity, a special clique that only certain people can appreciate or understand. for the rest of us, we cannot fathom what it must be like to partake in such a lifestyle. while we cry "bloody murder!" in defense of his wife and kid, we cannot understand what his exact mental state must mean. it seems silly to have a domestic argument like this to most of us. what woman (or guy for that matter) is worth coming to blows when you're someone like Benoit? again, i don't pretend to know everything, just judging from the little details of what's going on. nonetheless, it's still sad to me since i idolized him. it's hard to find people one can respect, especially when things break down like this. worse yet Paris Hilton goes free. i know God is a fucking asshole.
