I swear that Russo and the other bookers are watching too much Godfather. TNA Impact 12-03-2007 referenced the Godfather yet again. Right now, Christian is playing Al Pacino/Michael Correlone and AJ Styles was playing Freddo. The whole hug thing with AJ and Christian was right out of the funeral scene from Godfather 2 and Christian directly quoted the infamous, "Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer." (BTW, Christian is the best thing in TNA along with the Knockouts). Makes me wonder if Christian is going to get another group of button men and assassinate Styles, Roode, Tomko, and Angle....
If Russo keeps true to the Godfather, he'll make Christian a solitary figure, who perishes in his loneliness.
On a sidenote, yes, I've been watching the Godfather recently.
