When the next political regime comes into the US....

(And it will be a democratic one as I firmly believe there isn't a single Republican candidate that has the credibility and backing of the American people this time around), the first order of business for that group is to either dismantle the TSA and Homeland Security Departments and/or put them into indefinite suspension.  These two departments serve virtually zero functionality except to cause mayhem for innocent travellers.  The link below as well as some articles I discovered on Wikipedia are pretty much all the proof that I need to support my beliefs that these two organizations are better off in a packing crate in some warehouse to be permanently forgotten without even a footnote in America's history.  The money used to spend for the overpriced bureaucrats of these organizations are better off being allocated towards education, environmentalism and charities to helping those nations that America has pissed off horribly and rebuilding those relationships through improving their state.

The plain fact that these organizations will never work in America is that people do not like to be treated as robots and most people really in the end couldn't give a crap about the situation.  The people who take this seriously more than likely take the situation far too seriously and impinge their egos onto easy prey.  I mean, I just can't see the average American suddenly covering some guy wearing explosives as he goes through one of these gates.  Instead, I see most of these people running as fast as possible away from the scene.  It's perfectly reasonable and smart.  This isn't some romanticized James Bond fantasy movie where we have ideal civilian workers.  None of these get paid enough to care and are themselves fed totalitarian rules to simply disgruntle them even further.

Hopefully, the next candidate realizes the cost and negative effect these organizations have had on America's image and the entire travel industry and makes it a key agenda on his/her list to extirpate within the first year of taking office.
