Another victory for the space program, the Pluto Explorer, aka New Horizons, has launched successfully and is scheduled to encounter Pluto in no less than 2015. Yes, roughly 10 years from now. But hey, I'll be able to see Pluto in my lifetime as well as possibly seeing Kuiper Belt objects. So I guess, I'll report again in 2015 for this :) Good luck all! Hopefully by then we'll discover some technology that'll speed up the entire process (namely get Bush out of office so we get more funding for technology and science!!!!!!)
