now Schwartzen-azi is threatening a tax hike if prop 76 fails in the november ballot. this is a double edged sword for both himself and the voters. right now it's not a popular item as it stands with a 28% favorability in giving the governator more power in allowing him cuts without legislative approval and put caps on spending. first of all anyone who elected him based on his "no new taxes" should've remembered what the other bush "promised" in his election. now it's obvious that his high priority is in balancing the budget, which is going to be impossible in a state like this. but i find it impossible to put spending caps on the elements he mentions like education, police and healthcare. these are fundamental things california needs. makes you really wonder where the rest of the money is going if he can't put more money into those critical items. but the threat of him increasing taxes shows that he's just a singleminded, self-righteous bully that doesn't know how to compromise (i.e. politick) to get the job done. running one of the most powerful states ain't the same as lifting weights (or in his case, taking steroids and lifting weights), nor making a movie where you have a director to do 99% of your thinking and making sure you look good. if you want to keep the voters here happy, don't bully them (us).
