Was driving along an ultra crowded Hawthorne Blvd en route to Comp USA. Before that area there's this Cadillac dealership where some people were trying to pull into on the other side of the road. The line was pretty backed up so supposedly you gotta leave an open space so people can get through. There were two cars on the other side making a left turn lane and as the second one, a BMW with a couple, was going in, the woman in the passenger side went ballistic. Started throwing birds and you read off her lips, "Fuck you!" Looked like she and the other driver blocking them were ready to get into a fight. Honestly, between the two people, I voted for neither. It should've been common courtesy to let the driver through, but at the same time the couple in the BMW (which probably didn't help since they seemed to perpetuate the BMW asshole stereotype driver) should've been less hostile. If you look at all the clutter on the road, you'd think that people in the states are the biggest assholes around. I was a bit shocked when I found out that I wasn't the only one wishing that they could mount machine guns and rockets on my car's roof. Either way, I feel bad when foreigners come here since they probably get a poor image of whom we are. But I can't blame them in the end since we aren't exactly the most cultivated of people, although we pretentiously attempt to project that image around the globe.
