Lost Ark: 2nd Punika Tier 3 Character

Finally, I managed to get my Sorceress into Punika and even finish it today. I felt if I didn’t get at least part way done, she would have been sitting on her ass just collecting dust. And because she’s a Sorceress, doing the Punika quests felt pretty trivial.

Probably, the only real hang up I found was that puppet scenario dungeon. That was more due to very bad UI. It wasn’t frustrating just nonsensical in how it was setup. I can’t remember if my Artillerist had a similar issue but it shouldn’t be too problematic on my next group of people.

However, I will say that I was initially tempted to pay gold to bypass everything. Then I saw the cost of the Knowledge Transfer and felt it wasn’t worth it. You still get honing materials as well as collectibles while the main quests are pretty short. So it’s probably better just to suffer through.

My Gunlancer also is slogging through the Feiton Chaos Dungeon grind. I know I’m missing a ton of materials from other forms of content but I just have no desire to do group content. I did try this new Trial/Challenge Guardian Raid event. I think it’s similar to the other event Guardian Raid, except the party gets normalized and only has a requirement of ilvl 460. The rewards are roster bound so you could just toss them in the bank. These are a little tougher though from what I’ve found out so your ilvl won’t matter except to qualify in doing them. Also, the bosses are boosted up a bit to increase the challenge. The real incentive for doing these is the rewards. Maybe I might start doing these just because the rewards seem quite good. Perhaps, that’ll push me into doing other group content like Boss Rushes.

Besides my Sorceress, another character that made some nice progression was my Shadowhunter. I hit that ilvl 960 and just started her in Feiton. I only went up to Kajala and figured that I’ll need to do the rest tomorrow. The nice thing at least is that I should be able to do a few of the dailies without having completed Kajala. Most likely, I’ll start out with the two before the Shady Cliff one. I still need to finish up Hypnos’s Eyes which is close before I change my daily rotation on my Shadowhunter. Once that gets started though, no more wiggle butt dance for Mr Panda.

I’m trying to determine what to do with my Scrapper. I might push her through Yorn but I’m keeping her on that Chicken Island to farm those event coins. Also, I don’t like the idea of having more than one character on a main quest type of deal unless it’s someone at a lower level. But I might still do her dailies just because she should be starting to accumulate the Tier 2 Leapstones at least.

My Gunslinger is just stuck still in Rohendel. Honestly, I wanted to her to get through Yorn first before my Scrapper. So I’m doing more to push her through, although admittedly I probably need to find a better Leapstone daily route. Funny thing is that I think today was the first day I got to use the Rohendel Chaos Dungeons with her. She spent a few times with her face splatted across the floor so I can say that the challenge has increased a bit.

Unfortunately, until either my Paladin or Glavier get to a higher ilvl, I’m pretty much going to grind for a while on North Vern with them. My Glavier is still only at ilvl 490 while my Paladin is over 520. I’m mostly trying to finish up a few key dailies where I got through the ruins one (thank god) and collected my Masterpiece. I’m still working on the Freedom Island one too with the Glavier but I’ll probably ditch the Blackfang Den daily since I’m out of Una’s instants and don’t want to be sitting on my ass for 15+ minutes waiting for the damn pirates to spawn.

Similarly, my Paladin is still working on Runaway Isle. I think he only has one day left before being able to claim the reputation reward. Also, my Shadowhunter should be able to claim the Hypnos’s Eye reward tomorrow which collectively entails 50k Pirate Coins. With that I might try to buy the materials to upgrade my ship to level 8.

Speaking of Pirate Coins, right now I’m starting to do Adventure Islands where I can make Pirate Coins and pick up the other sailing coins. Last time I checked the Adventure Islands give something like 4-6k worth of Pirate Coins, which is quite a bit and around 5 chests. I haven’t really opened any of the sailing chests recently and decided to save up to buy one of the bigger prizes like the Omnium Star.

Now, something that I changed my mind on was continuing to level my Berserker through questing. While nothing between Tortoyk and North Vern is particularly difficult, it’s more about where I saw the end goal. Without the rare class engraving books, I lost interest in putting more time into doing my usual route and figured that 600 gold would get me another daily farmer for tomorrow. It just made more sense because there’s really no good rewards that I can think of passed East Luttera and I’d prefer to work on my dailies as well as progressing more characters through the upper continents. I think if SmileGate, etc. didn’t nerf the gold from the higher level regions, then maybe I would have had more incentive to go through with the leveling process. Truthfully though, it’s just a waste of time at this point and I’m better off having him focus on other dailies that I haven’t gotten to yet. Lastly, I managed to get and use quite a few of the Berserker skills and didn’t think continuing in this manner would have benefited me much. If anything else, I would just get another Lopang farmer.

So that leaves just my Deathblade as my remaining character to level. I might look at her to see how many more skills she can use with all the stuff I’ve added since the last time I played her. But unless her damage feels better, I’m not sure if I’ll do much in the near future with her. Maybe if I have spare time I’ll start leveling her again. There’s always just spending another 600 gold or so and having her be yet another Lopang farmer.
